Traditional tribal flute of the Bobo Fing (literally ‘black Bobo’) of the Mande people, who live in eastern Burkina Faso. They are primarily farmers whose lives are regulated by a council of elders. This is referred to as a bulbous flute due to its shape. In addition to the finger holes on each side of the bulbous top, there is a single finger hole in the lower bottom on the backside.
