A Burmese gong, wall bracket for handing the gong, and mallet from what is known today as the country of Myanmar. Gongs were used to accompany celebrations and funeral ceremonies, songs, and theatre plays. This Burma gong is hand hammered in the same fashion as they have been for centuries. Many of the older villages, temples and homes still use these for ritual practices.
