An ‘Albert’ system Dupont Superior B flat – LP (low pitch) clarinet made of wood with 13 touch pieces; 4 ferrules and metal bell rim; nickel-silver keys and rollers for the little finger keys, plus patent C-sharp. Under the mouthpiece on the top of the metal ferrule of the barrel is stamped “PAT FEB 15-1916.” This barrel joint is different from the other ferrules and has a corrugated edge that can be twisted to adjust the distance between the joint sections of the mouthpiece and barrel for tuning the instrument. The mouthpiece ligature is original with only one tightening screw. Dupont was a French instrument maker that was distributed throughout the United States via Sears, Roebuck & Co.
