Definite pitched percussion instruments are those instruments that are struck, hit or scraped that produce notes with an identifiable pitch that is discernible from another. Some of the most obvious pitched percussion instruments include the xylophone, timpani drum, chimes or tubular bells, celesta, vibraphone, and marimba.
