A 6-string guitar with all brass body and beautifully carved nickel-silver fittings. At the top is a slotted peghead with carved metal inlay. The top of the body has intricately carved fittings with a design – a male and female on top and below the bottom bridge are etchings of sheet music, a lyre, foliage, grapes, a bird and the engraved name, J. Bischoff. The guitar has a curved back measuring 52.7cm from the back of the neck to the bottom. The neck supports 18 metal frets.
