This KISS Paul Stanley ‘Silvertone’ Apocalypse Pro’ mirror solid body electric guitar was made in Korea.  Silvertone is a brand created and promoted by Sears for its line of consumer electronics and musical instruments from 1916 to 1972.  In 2001, Samick Music of South Korea purchased the rights to the Silvertone brand.

This handmade pro-cracked mirror finish Silvertone electric is signed by Stanley on the body in black felt tip. It originally was a prize awarded by 22nd Century Rock Magazine, in a contest announced on the cover of the Winter 2004 issue.  It has a mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, dual Duncan Design humbucking pickups, and Grover tuners.  Less than 300 were made.

KISS is an American rock band formed in New York City in 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss. Well known for its members’ face paint and stage outfits, the group rose to prominence in the mid–late 1970s with its shocking live performances, which featured fire breathing, blood-spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics. The band has gone through several lineup changes, with Stanley and Simmons being the only members to feature in every lineup. Resource: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiss_(band)
