This Horacio Laguna Model Guitar with serial number ‘Alex Music,’ was produced by Guitar Lab, Inc.  It is an acoustic-electric guitar that has a Florentine cutaway, 5 paired strings, and is equipped with an onboard Fishman preamp and tuner system.  Guitar Lab, Inc. had guitars designed by guitarists for guitarists and this one was designed/modeled by Argentina guitarist, composer, and vocalist Horacio Laguna who moved to New York in 1983.  For performances, Horacio Laguna created artistic musical concepts and titles such as, Southamerican Guitars 7 and Southamerican Guitartango 7, both of which were performances in four concerts at the Weill Recital Hall at CARNEGIE HALL.

Guitar Center introduced the Laguna line of guitars in 2008 as a private label for all of Guitar Center’s selling outlets including Musician’s Friend.
