This is a Hallmark Limited Series Wing-Bat electric guitar built by luthier Bob Shade. It incorporates the Swept-Wing design of the iconic Batmobile vehicle from the original 1966 Batman Series into the guitar’s mahogany body. This limited-edition is designed in conjunction with George Barris (1925-2015), who endorsed the Wing-Bat build and who is the Batmobile’s original creator. The serial number is 40 (stamped in the fretboard) of the original 100 made in 2009.
Features of this Wing-Bat guitar include the red ‘tail-light’ that lights up when you throw the switch on top, a maple neck, 24.75” scale, an ebony fingerboard, a single 60 Custom pickup, a Shade vibrato and roller bridge, and a Barris Kustom hardshell guitar case.
It is finished in black with fluorescent red detailing and includes a certificate of authenticity signed by the Batmobile’s original designer George Barris (who endorsed the build), and Bob Shade of Hallmark Guitars.
