The zukra is a double-chanter bagpipe from Libya, that is similar in construction to the Tunisian mizwad. It has a joined double-chanter with a fixed reed at the top of each pipe and finger holes terminating in two cow horns. This reedpipe instrument is played with a bagpipe in the south and west of Libya but played by mouth without a bag in the east, as seen here. The zukra is played at feasts, weddings, and funerals.
