Vintage Ma’di Trumpet/Horn. It has a hand braided hide strap. Where the Python snake skin is wrapped around the piece it is also hand stitched using the same hand-made hide cord. Under the snake skin is a hide semi-covered with monkey hair. At the open end and the mouth piece you can see the grooves from the hand carving. When these were made the wood was flat and hand carved then soaked and rolled.  As it is aged, it shows natural splits. Provenance: Estate of William Guthman – Antiques Roadshow Appraiser
