Friction Membranophones
Friction Membranophones include the following two basic types:
Friction Drums with Sticks or Cords: Instruments in which the membrane is vibrated from a stick or cord that is rubbed or used to rub the membrane.
Hand Friction Drums: The membrane is rubbedd by the hand (Tambourine roll)
