Musical Bows
Musical bows are identified by the sound resonator.
In shape, it resembles a traditional hunter’s bow. Acoustically it is struck or bowed (usually with a stick) and its string is usually amplified either with the musician’s mouth (a mouth bow), by an attached gourd or calabash, or against a box, bowl, or other detached cavity.
