A small Tikar hand drum from regions in Cameroon. There are many names for this pegged drum, such as dali in Mbum language, and kèntóm, ǹcùm, ǹtàm in Noni language. It has incised carvings of horizontal waves and geometric designs, along with ritual symbols (possibly lizards in horizontal positions) carved on the resonating wood chamber. Wooden pegs secure the drum head, while rattan reed is tied around the pegs to secure them from moving or falling out. Shows signs of usage and age.
