The Mangbetu, Ngbaka, Zande and related tribes all produce anthropomorphic harps of this type and it is often difficult to distinguish between them. The use of fiber strings, cowrie shells as decoration, and it is flat on the back of the head suggests that this beautiful example is from the Zande People.
