Henri Gunckel is not a manufacturer, but a trade name employed by a US dealer.  That is, the cornopean came from an importer possibly from Paris, France, during the late 19th century and early 20th century.  Before shipping they printed Gunckel’s name and logo on it.  The Gunckel distributor also operated in other countries with specimens of the brand found as: Gunckel Germany and Gunckel Czechoslovakia.
