Membranophones – Struck Membranophones
A Japanese Meiji period (1868-1912) taiko drum on stand from the Ryuku Kingdom. This small hand drum has two leather heads, and handmade studs painted with gold gilt. There is a metal harness loop on one side with a silk tassel attached.
