This Kenya rattle is make from a tin can of Tusker Lager brewed in Kenya.  The company’s first beer was brewed on 15 December 1922.  Recycled materials are used to produce musical instruments throughout Kenya.  A well carved wooden handle with burnt geometric designs is attached to the top of this tin can rattle that is filled with seeds inside.  It was most likely used for dancing.
