This herding camel bell shows a beautiful patina from age and usage.  Rendille tie these distinctive carved wooden bells around the neck of their camels. They are used when a herd of camels are being driven to pasture.  Each camel wears his own wooden bell creating a unique sound of ringing wooden bells.
